Have you noticed that most universities aren’t very religiously tolerant?

Most of America’s first universities (we’re talking Harvard, Yale, Princeton) were founded on Biblical principles and were established to educate clergymen.

Which begs the question, “What in the heck happened?”

The fact is that the majority of modern universities are now decidedly anti-Bible and typically leave little room for debate.

EOU is no different.

While there are lots of great professors at EOU (even some Bible believers!) it’s hard to ignore that a good number of them use their position of authority to promote negative rhetoric about Christianity.

In fact, we’ve heard from many students that EOU isn’t exactly religiously tolerant. We’ve even experienced some of the hate first-hand.

So how could EOU gain a better appreciation for the Bible?  That’s exactly the topic Brock Johnson and Matt Sheeks take up in this episode.  If you’re curious about what parts of the Bible we think anyone can appreciate, definitely check out this episode of Eastern Oregon On Fire.
